BOARD OF directors

The CFSL shall be governed by a Board of Directors, which shall have the authority to administer, manage, and otherwise take action on behalf of the CFSL in accordance with the League Guidelines, the Organization’s bylaws, and applicable law.

The CFSL Board of Directors shall be comprised of a Commissioner, an Assistant Commissioner, a Secretary, a Sergeant-at-Arms, an Operations/ASANA Director all of whom shall be elected by the general CFSL membership except as otherwise provided by these guidelines. In addition, the Board of Directors itself may, at its sole discretion, appoint up to two additional Directors subject to these guidelines.

The CFSL shall hold an election for the positions of Commissioner and Sergeant-at-Arms during the Fall of each year ending in an odd number and shall hold an election for the positions of Assistant Commissioner, Secretary, and Operations/ASANA Director during the Fall of each year ending in an even number. Each elected Director shall thus serve for a term of two years, except as otherwise provided by the League Guidelines.

COMMISSIONER: Bobby Agagnina

The Commissioner shall oversee all operations of the CFSL and the CFSL Board of Directors. Accordingly, the Commissioner shall be responsible for promoting and fostering CFSL interests and initiatives, supervising the implementation and administration of policies and procedures, serving as the primary liaison between the CFSL and any affiliated local and national organizations, presiding over meetings of the CFSL membership and the Board of Directors, assigning additional responsibilities to fellow Directors, and appointing and assigning responsibilities to tournament directors, committee chairpersons, and other CFSL representatives subject to approval by the Board of Directors.

ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER: Brandon Mullen

The Assistant Commissioner shall have primary responsibility for implementing and administering policies and procedures related to on-field play during CFSL league competition. In this regard, the Assistant Commissioner shall be responsible for maintaining and developing the rules of play for league competition, supervising the development and implementation of ratings policies and procedures, serving as the primary liaison between the CFSL and all umpires and scorekeepers, and assist the Board members in the development and release of the league schedule. In the event that the Commissioner is temporarily unable to perform his or her responsibilities, the Assistant Commissioner shall additionally assume those responsibilities until the Commissioner is again able to assume responsibility, therefore.

SECRETARY: Javier Lopez

The Secretary shall maintain, update, and record the CFSL Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, League Guidelines, and all other governing documents, and shall also maintain and record minutes of all meetings of the CFSL membership and the Board of Directors. The Secretary shall also have primary responsibility for communications between the CFSL Board of Directors and the membership, and in that regard, the Secretary shall monitor communications received from members and ensure timely responses thereto, oversee the development and administration of the CFSL website and social media presence, supervise the implementation of social outreach initiatives and events, and manage the development and implementation of registration policies and procedures in cooperation with the Treasurer.

SERGEANT-AT-ARMS: Mitchell Ayers

The Sergeant-at-Arms shall have primary responsibility for enforcing the CFSL Bylaws, League Guidelines, and all other governing documents and rules of play, and shall also serve as the CFSL’s parliamentarian at all meetings of the membership and the Board of Directors. In the event of any perceived violation of these guidelines or any other provision of the CFSL governing documents or rules of play, the Sergeant-at-Arms shall investigate the perceived violation, report all findings to the Board of Directors, and facilitate a resolution in accordance with all applicable guidelines and rules.

OPERATIONS DIRECTOR/ASANA: Nichol Stratman

The Operations Director/ASANA  oversees all CFSL operational, logistical, and tactical needs and tasks including all on-field events and off-fields events. In addition, the ASANA liaison will serve as a representative and voice of the Womens+ Division to the executive committee. The Director may appoint and assign responsibilities to committee chairpersons, and other CFSL representatives subject to approval by the Board of Directors.

TREASURER: Curt R. Bell

The Treasurer shall oversee the management and reporting of all CFSL funds and shall thus have primary responsibility for ensuring the CFSL’s timely compliance with all applicable financial and tax laws and regulations. In addition, the Treasurer shall manage the development and implementation of registration policies and procedures in cooperation with the Secretary.

TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR: Kyle Gaither

The Tournament Director oversees all aspects of the annual Orlando Meltdown Charity Softball Tournament. Accordingly, the Director shall be responsible for promoting and fostering the Meltdown interests and initiatives, supervising the implementation and administration of policies and procedures. The Director may appoint and assign responsibilities to tournament committee chairpersons, and other CFSL representatives subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
